5Pin Media unleashes Acid Bass Corrosion, a caustic cauldron of futuristic Acid Bass for Techno, Minimal Techno, Deep Tech and Tech House.
We fired up 3 of our prized sequencer driven analog bass boxes and 2 of our favourite software bass line emulations to bring you a diverse sound pallet with spades of character that range from minimal, percussive, classic acid to otherworldly. But rather than stop there we included 4 flavours of Low End Bass tailor made to accompany the Acid Bass as well as 3 flavours of Rhythmic Synth parts to sit on top and to round things off in keeping with the style there are FX texture loops many of which are featured in the demo.
All of the bass nastiness and synth goodness is supported by corresponding MIDI (more about the MIDI further below). Last but not least there is a bonus folder with all drums and other sounds are from Minimal Tech Gravitas and Hyperstatic Techno featured in the demo totalling 38 loops.
Similar to the 5Pin Bass Line Sequences 1 product we set out to create variations for a given pattern that can be combined in interesting ways. Typically you will find each successive version has a more aggressive tone and/or variations in expression – think of it as varying shades of the loop which can be used to build a more complex evolving 8 or 16 bar section in your composition. This will make the part more dynamic and feel less like a single static 4 bar loop.
Lookout for further tips in the Acid Bass Corrosion product “Info” folder. Note this is primarily for all the hardware generated sequences. For the software generated sequences we used automation envelopes and built-in sequence modulators to create dynamic loops, some of which are up to 16 bars long.
Re-Sequence the patterns by slicing and triggering the slices via MIDI resulting in a completely new pattern that can be as dense or sparse as you want. This is a powerful technique for maximising the potential of these loops.
We are also excited to announce that Loopcloud’s Multitrack combined with Loopcloud’s built in editing tools and Flip Sample are a perfect match for getting the most out of these acid bass loop variations without leaving your project or DAW!
All of the loops include dry versions specifically for re-engineering/re-sequencing as described above. Dry loops are far better for achieving the above described composite loops and effects such as EQ, reverb or delay can be applied to taste to polish the net result.

The majority of the 603 Loops are at 128bpm with some others at 126,127 and 125 bpm, both WAV and Apple formats are available with corresponding MIDI loops for most of the patterns.
All 62 Acid Bass MIDI loops were programmed in 303 step sequencer fashion and then converted to MIDI ensuring the correct note lengths, slides and accents were preserved. The included instruments and patches, will play the MIDI true to the original 303. The note velocities have also been optimised for reliable playing of any other MIDI bass instrument including soft synths such as ABL3 by Audiorealism and Phoscyon2 by d16 and Acid V by Arturia as well as hardware synths such as the XoX Box, TD-3 and DB01 (More about this in the product Tips document).
Additional MIDI includes 34 Synth and 16 Low End Bass.
Bass Hardware used: Erica Synths Bassline DB01, Custom Modified X0X Box with super resonance and sub-bass oscillator modes and a Behringer TD-3.
Bass Software Used: Arturia V Synth and d16 Group Phoscyon 2.
Please note that the MIDI from Acid Bass Corrosion is compatible with our 5Pin Media “MIDI Focus – Bass Line”, “Bass Line – The Sequel” and “Bass Line Sequences” products and vice-versa.
